SOLD FS: Lakland Skyline 55-01

One of two basses I'm selling.

Bought this 55-01 new in 2010 on 48th Street in NYC. It's in excellent condition except for a chip in the headstock that happened 2 days ago putting it back after taking photos I'm selling this bass because I want a standard scale 5 string with narrower string spacing.

The color is difficult to capture in photos, the three tone burst is very evident in sunlight and bright lights, in dimmer light it can look like a tobacco burst, as it appears in the 4th photo.

The weight is just a little over 8 lbs on my bathroom digital scale. It has the original Lakland stainless strings, Stock Bartolini MK-1 pickups and the stock Bart preamp. Dunlop straplocks are on it, I'll leave them on and include the original strap buttons. I'll also include an additional set of Lakland Nickel strings. I had them onthe bass but took them off after a couple of days because I prefer the sound of the stock stainless strings. The low B is just wonderful on this bass. It will ship with a padded gig .

It's got the stock Barts MK-1 and stock preamp.
The only non-stock item onthe bass is the Dunlop straplocks, which I'll include.

Friday bump - and corrected the description about the strings. It has the stock CHROME strings and comes with an extra set of NICKEL strings.

 

I'll weigh it tonight and post the result, but it's under 10lbs. I weighed it over a year ago and it was either 9 or 9.5 lbs. on my bathroom scale.
