    Hi, Guys.

I can't believe I'm doing this, but I'm reluctantly selling my Linc Luthier fretless 5-string. It's a true exotic and a real thing of beauty.

This was one of my dream basses and I waited FOREVER to find a perfect example. This one is literally flawless.

Like all Linc basses, this one is a neck-through with semi-hollow body. Unusually for a Linc, it has active pickups.

My issue with it is that it has a very warm, woody fretless tone. Based on the construction of the neck and the electronics, I was expecting more of a Pedulla Buzz tone. I've already got a Leduc U-Bass that does the woody, chesty, upright-like fretless thing. I was looking for that nasal, burpy, Jaco vibe. This Linc is too similar in tone to my Leduc and I just can't justify keeping them both.

    Anyway, here are the pics...

No ugly control cavity cover! You access the pots through the jackplate:

It may be a tank on the outside, but it's plush and squishy on the inside:

OK, so what's the damage? I'm looking for just $1295 shipped for quick sale.

The case weighs a metric sh1t-ton, so shipping will cost a bundle. I'll cover shipping costs by UPS Ground up to $100, which should be enough for pretty much anywhere in the continental US.

What is the scale of this bass, and what is the weight? What brand and model of hardware does it have?

    Thanks.

    Regular 34" scale.

Quite light with the semi-hollow body. About 7 lbs. I'll measure tomorrow. The bass is locked in storage right now.

The tuners, bridge, and staplocks are all Schaller.

I'll let the OP answer about this particular bass but generally speaking, the hardware is Schaller and, unless special ordered, the scale is 34". In terms of weight, the 4 and 5 string Lincs I have played over the years were roughly 8 to 9 pounds. They feel solid and substantial even though they are not heavy. The V-profile neck is pretty amazing.

That sounds about right. Not a featherweight, but quite light and nicely balanced.

  10. 19mm spacing at the bridge? Any sound samples?

    Yes. Sold to azflyman.

He was one of the first to respond to the ad. Also, he was interested in the other two basses I had up for sale.

Sold all three in a package deal.
