This is a black Fender Squier Precision medium scale 32” made in Japan non export bass. Serial # E77*** made sometime between 1984 and 1987. I bought it used about 1 ½ years ago. I am cleaning out all of my medium scale basses as I have a wrist problem that has gotten significantly worse. The only basses I am keeping are 2 Birdsongs. The bass is in good condition and the neck is very good. It has the usual surface scratches for a 22 yr. old bass and only 2 significant scratches on top of upper the horn. The picture of these is the last one and makes it look worse than it is. I am dropping the price to $ 349 for the bass and Fender gig bag.
I sold one of the Jazzes 2 days ago. I thought I had this p-bass sold locally, but the guys wife squelched the deal last night. A lot of interest but nothing firm yet.
Bunny10, I'm interested. Could I chat with you on the phone? I will PM you with my number. Where are you located? Paul
Is that bass still for sale? Is it all original? Is there any cracks or repairs? How is neck & frets? Don't mind dings or dents just no breaks or cracks. thanks keith
It is still for sale. It is all original. No cracks or repairs. Neck is very good. Bass has only one small ding. Neck and frets are in very good condition.
I am looking for a good med. scale bass like this. Do you get well focused E string notes, or are they a bit flabby? Strung with what strings now?
Sounds focused to me. I have never had a complaint about the sound of the bass in rehearsal or at a gig. In fact just the opposite. I get many compliments about the sound of the bass. I play thru 4x10 with a 1x15. The funny thing is that no one has ever spotted that it is a 32" scale until it sits side by side with a 34" scale bass. As far as its sound no one can tell the difference. It is currently strung with Curt Magman or Sit strings. I forget because it has been a while since it has been restrung. The only reason I am selling my medium scale basses is that my wrist can't play these basses without hurting. The only bass neck that I can play is Birdsong, which has a thin neck but is fatter from front to back. But the Birdsong doesn't give me the P or J sound which I sorely miss. If I could play the Fender medium scales I would be content for the rest of my playing career, unfortunately that is not the case so concessions have to me made. At least I don't have to stop playing entirely. So I count my blessings. Sorry for the rambling, I hope this helps.
SOLD !!!!!!! There will be the final 32" P-Bass for sale in the next week in the for sale section. Its just like this one that sold. Also a White Fender Mustang with a new OHSC will be going up for sale also.
