    SOLD

Up for sale is my Mike Lull M5V, with alder body/rosewood board, and a killer burst finish. It has great tone and playability, and is everything that you would expect from a great jazz bass. Condition is 9.5 out of 10. The only flaw I can find is a tiny scuff near the input jack, which you can see in the photo in the link, a lacquer imperfection above the nut, and the typical light paint swirling. I believe the pickups are humcancelling, as there is no single coil hum. The preamp is the Bartolini NMTB, and the knob configuration is volume / blend / midrange / stacked bass - treble. Also has a passive pull on the midrange. The bass can punch or growl depending on the preamp settings, where you place your right hand, and how you attack the strings. You can hear the resonance on this when you play it unplugged.

18mm string spacing with a very comfortable neck. I did not weigh this, but 9 pounds or under I would fathom, as it feels lighter than the other 10 pounder that I have.

Specs as follows, SN # 1391:

    • Alder body
    • Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard
    • 35" Scale length
    • 21 frets
    • 12" radius fingerboard
    • 1 -7/8" nut width
    • Hipshot Ultralite tuners
    • Bartolini NMTB Preamp
    • Humcancelling Pickups

Priced to sell $1775.00 firm, shipped and insured to the Lower 48, includes Lull gig bag.

Thank you for the offer- the Bee is beautiful, but not quite what I am after.

Something is up here. Why are there two different serial numbers in the photobucket picutes. 1391 and 1229???
Has any repair work been done on the bass?

There are 2 different basses for sale. The M5V is 1391, the PJ5 is 1229. Looks like I mixed up some of the pictures, as there are 2 albums.

Oh ok. Well let me know if you're interested in a trade. You'd be getting the better end of the deal.
