I am selling this incredible bass because of my unfortunately bad finacial situation! I simply cannot hold on to it anymore. :meh:

So up for sale is my beloved Morch Curl-Bass 5-string from 82'. It feature E-C tuning. 34" scale.
This bass features, Mahogany body, Beech-neck. 22fret ebony fretboard with epoxy coating.
The new updated Morch 18V preamp with bass boost/cut, treble boost/cut and EMG mid cut/boost/freq. Tone, Vol, Blend and active passive switch.
The PU's are old Morch custom humbuckers. SOUNDS FANTASTIC!
Ebony ramp. Can be taken off.

Comes with a custom built flightcase, old pre-amp and tools.

This bass SINGS!... It pack's a tremendous punch, and the tone is HUGE!

This is a very rare bass, also in this almost mint condition, it is almost impossible to find! These basses are almost not-existing on the used-market!

Im looking to get (asking price) 2100Euro's/$2600 for this bass, but I will consider reasonable offers.

I know alot of you guys don't know Morch at all. Check his website: Morch Guitars

He's a very skilled luthier and fantastic personality!
Also check bunnybass' review of an old Curl bass like mine on Bunnybass

I hope this helps a little in this presentation of this fine instrument. :smug:

  3. i've wanted a Morch for many moons....but alas no cash

    gorgeous bass!!!

Morch pickups are some of the finest in the world!!!

Listen to early Phish stuff to hear Morch pups (they were on Mike Gordon's Languedoc dragon bass)

Thanks for the nice words and the bump :)
This bass is absolute one of the most beautiful and best sounding basses Johnny Morch have ever made.
And yes, the PU's are a chapter for themselves! He cannot produce this type anymore due to the run-out supply of the special magnets he used in the 70-80's.
    And the sound is.... HUGE!

Hi Vince, Well, I don't exactly know what you mean by speaking of my bass differently.
The bass is neck-through, two piece mahogany body. Simple, elegant specs IMHO.
It's hard to compare this instrument with others. But the quality of build and hardware are, equal to the finest custom basses out there today. (Fodera, Sadowsky, Ken Smith, F-Bass etc.) The tone is MASSIVE. I've got lots of positive comments on the HUGE sound of this bass. It' just sits so well in the mix.
    Anything else? :D

    Hi Vince,

I actually don't know the exact string spacing :meh: , but it is rather tight. I can measure it for you if you like?

Also price reduced to 2200Euro's/$$2600 :bassist:
