I purchased this bass new a month ago just to check it out.

It's a nice bass but I have too many basses to keep it.

These basses recieved Editors Choice in Bass Player Mag last month.

    $200 shipped PayPal.

    Badwater Bass

BADWATER BASS (1 Split; 1 Single Coil)

Players looking for a bass with hot features and a look that's anything but ordinary should look no further. Badwater Bass guitars have wicked distressed bodies and come with EMG-designed pickups, the preferred brand by many of today's best artists.
No area was spared from the destruction -- even the headstock and backplate have vintage distressing. Available with two classic pickup configurations, Badwater guitars have a one-of-a-kind style and excellent playability.
The crackle brown/white finish has a reptilian texture throughout its body. The off-white finish has a rusted, phantom-like appearance. The brown finish model has the look of a museum-quality guitar stored away for decades.

  2. I'd be interested in a more detailed appraisal of the bass as you see it. What do you think of it for real?

  4. Got it. I did find it last night after I posted; just didn't edit my post.

Does the truss rod adjust well? Does it seem like it COULD be set up to play well?

The bass responds like you would expect it to. The action is not a problem.

IMO it's better than a Squire that would cost the same amount.

BP said it was a better than most basses costing twice as much.

You can read the review in last month's (Sep08) bass player.
