    Hey guys,

Up for sale today is my 1989 Pedulla Buzz.

    DSC03306.gif

Has a AAA Flame Maple top and back, the standard Ebony fretboard with the polyester coating, and the Bartolini P/J set with Vol, Pan, Treble, and Bass for an active pre.

It does have some wear as expected with a 20 year old instrument. I have tried the best I can to photograph all of the wear.

The main wear is seen on the third "fret", where some of the coating has worn down, and in one spot actually is gone. The spot is very small and doesn't buzz when fretted if you have good technique.

There are a few nicks in the finish, shown on the headstock, one on the back of the neck, and mainly on the bottom of the instrument. These can't be seen from the front, only from the back/bottom.

The final blemish is on the front of the instrument between the P and J pickups where someone probably anchored their thumb around that area while playing.

I've tried to be as complete as I can in describing what's wrong with the bass, but believe me, none of these "blemishes" take away from the beauty of the bass!

Also includes the OHSC, and will be shipped in that, then put into a Uline Guitar Shipping Box for protection.

Asking: $1375.00 plus shipping. PAYPAL or Money Orders ONLY!

I will only ship to USA as this is a neck-through instrument and must ship with the case.

No camera here, sorry. I also tried doing that before I purchased this bass. If you've ever heard any of Pino Palladino's 80's bass lines with either Paul Young or Don Henley, this bass can definitely do those tones easily. It can pull Jaco very easily as well, and can get quite dark sounding with the P pickup full on with some bass EQ'ed in.

Maybe I can help with the tone question. The '86 Buzz that I purchased new was my only bass for quite a few years. Some of the best tracks I've ever recorded on demos for other people were with a Buzz. You can get so much more than the singing Mark Egan fretless tone. Clean, fat, growling, musical blues and rock tones are possible by minimizing 'mwah' technique and blending pickups. With half-wounds I played a showcase with four artists and could adapt from edgy to round from song to song. Mid-set, one artist turned around in disbelief and thought I had switched to upright bass.
Another demo project was power-pop where my Buzz tracks replaced those recorded earlier on a Ric.

Summary: fast neck and responsiveness to changes in right hand and left hand technique make the Buzz much more veratile than you'd expect.

I have no connection to seller; just want to see this bass get some well-deserved love.

Thanks Jeff! Unfortunately I've never been able to use this live or for any studio work, but I agree with everything you just described about the bass. This thing has a great jazz-like neck and just smokes!

This thing has got to go soon, this economy has killed my chances at getting a job as quickly as I wanted to. I'll listen to all reasonable offers.

I had a PentaBuzz very similar to this one, just a few years older. It was absolutely gorgeous. It played amazingly well and just SANG when played. I miss it dearly...

These Pedulla's have the best fretless tone I've ever played. No BS. I'm sure this one sings beautifully too. Someone buy it and try to call me a liar. Haha

Good luck with the sale, mate!

Thanks for the kind words! It does sing and I wish I had a project that required this tone, but I'm in a classic rock band now and I don't need it anymore.
