I am selling my 2000 EBMM Stingray5 for $1100 shipped. This bass has been wholly owned by me and was purchased in September of 2000. The color is claimed by EB as honeyburst and is best described as deep red fading to light orange. The body is ash and the detail of the wood can be seen through the back finish. The neck is maple, the back of which has a satin-like feel. The fingerboard is rosewood with cream colored inlays for fret markers. The pickguard is obviously white.

This Stingray5 is in excellent condition. There’s some light scratching on the back of the bass (in the poly finish and on the neck plate), but it’s almost invisible unless the bass is held to the right light. There are no chips or dings, and the only scuffing to speak of is on the side of the rounded top of the headstock near the D-string tuning machine. The neck has been well played and the back of the neck has taken on a worn-in feel. However, the frets still have a ton of life to them.

This Stingray5 has traveled with me a couple of times back and forth from Colorado to Minnesota, but has (sadly) never seen a live gig. I’ve used it for many recording projects, but never really played it out. I think that's why it's in such great condition. This bass has not been altered in any way and is 100% all original. I will include the original hardshell case in this sale. The case is a little beat up from traveling, so don't expect anything special. Things that I do not have are the case key and a truss rod key (both which I was never actually even given).

Please ask any and all questions beforehand. This bass is being sold as is, but I can assure you that it is in wonderful condition and it will make you a happy five stringer. I will accept Paypal and I will only ship within the continental United States.

  7. I hate to be that guy, but Ernie Ball uses the name Honeyburst for that color. Their Vintage Sunburst fades to black on the outside.

No worries, and thank you for the input. I was kind of expecting that. That's why I described the color because it did not jive with me either. I obtained the improper color title from a musicman serial code database.

I believe you're missing the truss rod *key*, rather than the truss rod... that would be quite a situation if you were!
