I have - for sale only - a very clean and beautiful Lakland 44-02 Deluxe fretless in 3 Tone Sunburst finish over a truly dazzling quilted maple top. The neck is half sawn rock maple with a lined ebony fretboard.

The pups are Barts, and I believe that the 3 band active/passive electronics package is also Bartolini made.

I am the second owner, so this bass has been gigged, but it has also been very well taken care of. It's in top shape with no cosmetic, mechanical/structural or electrical issues. It is currently strung with TI Jazz Rounds and sounds great. The Bass will come with a Lakland (Levy's) gig bag.

Why am I selling it ? - I am moving to Europe for 2 years and am significantly reducing the number of basses I own.

    Here's the sale details:

Price is $750 firm (lowball replies will not be responded to)
Buyer pays shipping from zip code 94550. It's SF Bay Area, so I would be happy to do a local sale.
Sale will be via Postal Money Order, I don't use PayPal.

let me know if you are interested. This bass will also go up on Bay Area CL this week.

Hey pf! Man, that's a great price on a beautiful bass. I wish I played fretless--someone should snap this up! Good luck with the move!

thanks brother, I'm looking forward to the relocation, just not the process of clearing 20 years of stuff out of my house.

The 44-02 should be a pretty easy sale at this price, either here or locally on CL.

I don't have the actual weight because I do not have a scale in the house, but the Lakland feels about the same as my Lull M4V which is just a tad under 9lbs.

thanks for the encouragement guys. there are a few folks expressing interest, so hopefully this bass will find a new home soon.

I may decide to go back to a trade option - I was recently looking for trades for a fretless Fender Jazz and had some interest and decent offers.

I'll just keep posting this baby up for consideration.
