each one pristine, and sound OOOOOOHHh so sweet. if you're looking at this post, then you know the magic they both possess. both are in suuuupremely pristine condition, with nary a scratch, blemish, etc. babied by moi, and used ONLY in the studio. FYI, still have the original box the epifani came in, and will ship to the owner as such.

Read - brand new, its $995: asking $695
Epifani - brand new, its $1195: asking $749

paypal preferred, shipping on me for lower 48.

EMAIL ME FIRST! its easier to keep track of who's first in line, rather than mixing PMs and emails.

    BOTH ARE SOLD

simply answer? i need a parametric EQ section.

complex answer? while the read is prolly one of the BEST preamps my ears have ever heard, its also the best "feeling". dunno what it is, but the tone coupled with the sound for some reason makes for a really smooth, fat, gushy feel on my fingertips. NO OTHER preamp i've owned has done this to me.

but again, my needs and tonal search centers on a parametric EQ. if i could bottle the read tone in a single space unit with a parametric EQ, it'd be UNSTOPPABLE, DANGIT!

I agree with everything you said. Fortunately for me I have an extra rack space (or two, depending) that I sometimes fill with a TC Electronics parametric equalizer!

P.S. Sweet deals on the gear. :)

Is the epifani rackmountable? I can't tell from the website...

...I'm sure it is, but just thought I'd ask.

    yes it is.

i think Ozbass has his UL502 head mounted in a rack, which is essentially the same housing.
