Up for grabs is this Sadowsky Metro hybrid PJ4, ash/maple, 2B Sadowsky preamp with VTC, sounds and plays just like a Sadowsky should. Light player's wear, a few scratches on the pick guard, but no significant cosmetic or performance issues.

Since picking up a Metro PJ5 very similar to this a couple of weeks ago, I've been trying to rationalize keeping this one as well - it's REALLY sweet, one of the best Metro's I've ever owned in terms of light weight, tone and just pure resonance. You can just feel the body of this bass humming against you when you play it - very cool.

But it's become pretty clear when I play live this old dog has come to prefer 5-strings for convenience and comfort. So... in keeping with my self-imposed rule (basses are meant to be played and not collected), here it is. Some 4-string player will be very happy, and it will be happy to be played and not just sit in its wall hanger.

    SERIAL: M4799
    FINISH: Vintage Tint
    BODY: Ash, P-Shape, Full Size
NECK: Maple with Thin Matte Nitro Finish
    FINGERBOARD: Maple, 12" Radius, 1 1/2" Nut Width (Jazz-width)
    PICKGUARD: Tortoise
    HARDWARE: Chrome
    PICKUPS: Sadowsky P/J
PREAMP: Sadowsky Preamp with Vintage Tone Control
    STRAPLOCKS: Dunlop
    WEIGHT: 8 lbs 10 oz

$1900 includes pro packing and shipping to lower 48. Prefer USPS money order, will accept Paypal (with confirmed address only). No international sales, sorry. Strongly prefer straight sale, I don't need any more basses, and am pretty happy with what I have for now.

Regarding trades: I'll listen but honestly there's really not much else I'd be interested in right now. It would have to be a 34" scale 5-string relatively high end bass, less than 9 lbs, and not have a coffee-table top for me to even consider it. Or a Collings acoustic guitar... but I digress.

Pics are borrowed from previous seller but it looks the same as it did before. I can take more if necessary but these are a great representation of how it looks currently:
