Had to finally try one of these Sadowsky's out for myself. I can see why there is so much love. Nice fat tone up and down the neck and across all strings. very clear and punchy too. The bass eq is the best I've ever heard on a jazz bass.

The neck on this one is flawless. way Smooth, just the right shape, very fast setup. The red finish is wicked... sort of a more glossy CAR. maybe it's just the lack of pickguard and plate making the color stand out more. the only flaw is a tiny ding and scratch on the bottom edge near the strap button, but it doesn't go through the finish. Bass weighs right at 9 lbs. controls are Vol/Blend/Bass/Treb (no VTC).

I should keep this, but I'm too tight with my 4-94 and could use the coin for home remodeling projects. Ships in the Sadowsky soft case which is in excellent condition.

    $1390 + shipping!

That's a great price! If a miracle occurs, and this bass lasts into next week, my wife will just have to cuss me out!:ninja:

Is the only difference between the RS4 and the RV4 the pickguard and the metal control plate?

let's go people. willing to trade for certain basses that bring cash back my way. Lakland 44-02 or a skyline with Chi-sonics, Bongo, SR5 w/ dual pickups, Fender or Nash P/J, Roscoe Beck 4-string. I'm also looking for a small tube guitar combo along the lines of a Fender Pro Jr. or Champ.

  17. Hey that's my old bass!
It's one of the early ones: serial number M125.
Seems to be doing some traveling: Tokyo to Vancouver BC to California to Texas and now where?
    Enjoy!

In PA now, coming from NYC. Has been upgraded with a VTC at some point.
Hard to believe all the places this bass has been.
Still, has all the goodies (case, tools, etc.) Apparently it has been treated with a lot of love.
This is my first Sadowsky. What a revelation!!
I just wonder why it has changed hands so many times... A few scratches and swirls, so what?

Yes and it spent some time with me in Southwest Florida also.
In fact those are my pics of that beautiful bass.
