For sale $440 US plus shipping, or pick up in NYC.

Trade items of interest: Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0, or a Firewire audio interface but *only* if it works with Linux: eg. a Presonus Firepod or FP10 would be perfect. There's a list of other compatible firewire devices at http://ffado.org/?q=devicesupport/list&filter0=&filter1=&op2=OR&filter2[]=perfect&filter2[]=good ... Not much else I can use at the moment, sorry. If you have any of those and want to deal we can work out how much cash trades hands and in which direction...

Gotta make room (and cash) for baby stuff! I'd like to sell my Schroeder 1212 cab.

This is the original 4-ohm model with regular (not neodymium) speakers; I believe this is what's now called the 1212R? Carpet finish.

Tweeter: over the years these cabs have been sold with a few different tweeters - this has the original "100 Watts titanium tweeter horn", which informally can be recognized by its elongated rectangular shape (more recent cabs come with a more square or rounded tweeter).

    Condition: Excellent.
I bought the cab new via direct shipping in January 2005. Serial no. 1212/135II (or something like that, it's hand-written).
It has been to only 4 gigs since then. Other than that, it has sat, rarely played, in my (no-smoking, no-pets) apartment. I just plugged it in today - still sounds like new. There is minor scuffing on the plastic corner protectors, and the paper sticker on the rear panel is a bit smeared and spotty-looking (not realizing it was paper, I wiped it with a damp cloth today before taking my pictures... duh :meh:).

Sound: I would describe it as having very powerful lows and midbass that projects well even outdoors (one of my gigs with it was on a rooftop and I was LOUD), with a little bit of upper treble snap from the tweeter, and very subdued upper-mids. I like a lot more upper-mid bite, so I can't really use this cab standalone. Personally I quite like it paired with a brighter cab, which was my original plan... but I've realized I'd just as soon leave it home since my EA CXL-112L is a bit more portable and usually loud enough for me. And I don't gig anywhere near enough to justify keeping it.

    Size: 23.5"x16"x16".

Weight: claimed to be 54 lbs, but my bathroom scale says 58 lbs, give or take.

Shipping: I would greatly prefer local pickup (Brooklyn, NY) to save us both the time, expense, and risks of shipping. Otherwise, I'm gonna have to either build-a-box or take it to the local UPS store and have them box it in their material.

No thanks Bassist, I've already got an AI Focus III so I'm pretty well covered in the tiny amp category :bassist:
... although I am all of a sudden kind of jonesing for a genz-benz shuttle 6

I bet that EA is nice though. I love their cabs.

Hi Red, thanks for the interest. I replied to a PM from an earlier respondent, will see what he says first. If that falls through, can you PM me your zip code so I can see what that UPS would cost me?
And is it residential or commercial? (They always ask but I don't know if it makes a difference in the actual cost...)

    Thanks,

    -PW

On hold for bassman515 pending payment.

Note to Red Planet - bassman said that if he decides he doesn't like it, he would offer it to you first at the same price - $475 shipped.
