For sale: Mint condition 2008 Skjold Custom 5 Model 92. Awesome one piece Spalted/Flame Maple top, Ash body, 5 piece Maple/Purpleheart neck, highly figured Cocobolo fboard. Skjold SC-1 pups and deluxe Skjold/East preamp. Black Hipshot hardware/straplocks. 35 inch scale. Skjold labelled Pro-Tec Contego gig bag in excellent condition. This instrument is well known here on TB. It plays, sounds, and looks fantastic. Very lightweight also - I would say ~ 8 pounds. $3,600.00 obo - no fee transaction. ** CONUS ONLY ** Some pics:

Tom is correct - it was mine originally. This is truly a great bass, and one of the few out of many that I still miss greatly from time to time. Great ergonomics, looks every bit as good in person as it does in these pics, and Skjold tone for days.

My previous comment was my immediate gut reaction on seeing this on the FS board, and then the realization that this is not a good time for me to raid the piggy bank, tempting as it may be. :rollno:

Of course, if Tom was willing to let it go for a certain sub-10lb Sequoia Gold 2008 anniversary model Stingray 5 plus some cash I'd have to consider that. :D

Thanks for all the comments and compliments. This is nothing less than a spectular instrument, from any perspective.

From Pete: "adjustable from 17mm - 19mm with the widest setting being about 18.5mm on the bass. The bass is probably set up with 18mm spacing as usual. " The neck profile and spacing make this instrument a real dream to play. Every one who has played this bass was totally knocked out by it. Some examples (I don't think names are needed here):
