After GASsing for many months, I recently purchased this Squier Jazz Bass (used) and although I love the look of it, I have found I am strictly an Ibanez girl.

I’m guessing the model is a Squier Vintage Modified ’77 Jazz bass by how light-weight it is, and by the pearl inlays on the neck. The Squier watermark was sanded off the headstock by the previous owner. The previous owner also placed a Darth Vader decal on the back plate (removable), and I think he might’ve replaced the original black pick guard with the white pearl one.

This bass just came back from being professionally setup with brand new D'Addario Nickel Wound strings (45-105). The action is not too low or too high.

    I am asking $180 shipped U.S. (firm).

    Thanks for looking.

I don't own a scale but it is most likely between 8.5-9.0 lbs.

$180 shipped is a good price for a VM Jazz... Maple pearl blocked neck and matching pearloid PG. Classy.

I wish I had an Ibanez to trade you (it's not worth my MIJ SR800)... but shoot for a better model than the 200.

Let's get this girl her first positive sale feedback *BUMP*

Just a friendly heads up, but you may want to check it somehow ... I have had a few of these, the one I currently have came in at a very surprisingly light 7 pounds even ... 2+ pounds less than the others that I had .. if yours is near that light, it will be gone yesterday ... very tough to 'guess' at weight on basses, 1/2+ pound can make a big difference ... JMHO

Hah. It's more about my location - right by the Toronto airport - than my playing abilities.

Embarrassing fact: I have never actually been able to learn the song all the way through.

... or as I have recommended to many folk, just pop into any FedEx, UPS, post office or pack-n-ship type place and ask them to weigh your bass .. they usually don't mind at all ... and usually pretty accurate :)
