Selling a Squier 4-string bass neck. This is a C-shaped neck, with 20 medium jumbo frets, a rosewood fingerboard, 9.5" radius, and a 34" scale. The width at nut is right at 1.5 inches; width at the heel is 2.5 inches. It has a "Crafted in Indonesia" decal on the back of the headstock. The truss rod adjustment is a little snug. Includes 4 Squier standard tuners and the factory-installed nut. Asking $60 shipped CONUS.
The neck has some relief (back-bow?) from the 2nd to the 12th fret. I tried to take a picture to show it, but it appears to be about 3mm between the top of the fret and the straight-edge at the 7th fret, which seems to be the largest offset. I played with the truss rod some in the past, but I am always reluctant to over-torque it in fear of doing permanent damage. I did back off the torque since taking the neck off the body, so the 3mm shown in the images may be more than when I was playing it. Hope this helps.
The frets are pretty nice; the fret-wire is cut to the proper length, so there's none of that tearing up hands when moving up and down the neck. The neck is more of a Jazz profile than a P-bass profile, so it's a pretty fast neck. I am not replacing the neck; I'm actually selling the bass as parts so I can buy parts for my main and only bass (5 string fretless).
Wow-Thats a good deal. I have sold these for $100 right here on TB,nice necks comparable to mightymite.
I know, right?! Neck includes the tuning machines and nut. That's gotta count for something. I personally think it's a pretty good deal.
