  1. Finally need to let this bass go. It has served me well all those years but the apartment is getting smaller (or is it the junk that's getting bigger?)... I know it will make a happy player.

I have several high rez pictures that I can't seem able to upload here. Please pm me with an email address that can get around 5MB of pics.

This bass was originally a headless fretted bass (I am the original owner). I asked Rob Green from Status in the UK to make me a neck and recommend an active circuitry to enhance the fretless mid range.
It resulted in this awesome rosewood neck and the same preamp as on the Retro-Active (a semi-hollow bass).
This is a very powerful fretless. It was recently re-setup to get more mwah as I wanted to record on a studio track. The sustain is quite amazing for a bolt on.
I always used flatwound, first because I think it sounds better on fretless but also because I know rounds would have eaten the fingerboard.
The body has normal scratches at the base of the neck, where the index finger was popping the strings while this bass was fretted (hence the price).

It comes with gigbag, a small set of tools (hex keys), preamp manual, registration card and Status catalog.

Asking $700 for the bass and buyer pays shipping.
Feel free to ask any question and if you need pictures, don't hesitate to pm me.

do you have the original fretted neck too? are both necks graphite? is this a bolt on? so could it go back to being headless fretted?

  4. Sorry for not closing this thread... as the ad's date says, this bass was sold on ebay in 2005... sorry.
