I'm putting up a couple of basses up for sale to fund the purchase of another bass. One is a 2010 Lakland Skyline 44-02 and the other is a very new Höfner HCT-550/1. Both basses were purchased new and I am the only owner. Never gigged, dropped, scratched or abused in any way. Both are clean and buckle rash free. If you're looking for mojo, these are not the basses for you.

Sorry No International Shipping or Canada. PayPal preferred.

    2010 Lakland Skyline 44-02 - [DEL]$850.00[/DEL] SOLD

This was bought as new in September of 2011, the only thing added was a matte black pickguard from Jeannie Pickguards. This is the Indonesian model with the LH3 pre, Lakland pickups, Plek'd and all that Lakland goodness. The only reason I am selling is to fund a purchase of a US model. It went back to the mother ship at one time to address a minor grounding issue that was fixed and has since been fine. Very clean 9/10. I will ship this bass with a Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Case - not the best case, but never used and will protect it during shipping. Original hang tags are included.

    Höfner HCT-550/1 - [DEL]$500.00[/DEL] SOLD

Less than a four months old, bought as new in January, not sure of the year. Comes with the original HS case that has never left the house, hang tags and brochure. I didn't even pull the plastic lock retainer to set the combo. Strung with La Bella Electric Bass Guitar Höfner Beatle Bass Round Wounds. Plays great, but short scales just aren't for me.

I have only owned Laklands... I am however lusting over that Hofner - very cool looking.

Man, you have great taste in basses and some serious photo skills.

Thanks Gordon, it is a pretty sweet little bass. Nice and light, great sound as well. Even though it's passive, the sound is massive, on par I would say with the LH3 in terms of "hotness."

A little more info on both basses:

The Lakland serial shows the manufacture date to be sometime in 2010, but the PLEK tag shows it was done in April of 2011.

From what I can gather, the Höfner appears to have been manufactured sometime in or after 2011 as the older models do not have the "Designed in Germany" decal and serial number on the back of the headstock. Someone please enlighten me if I am incorrect about this. Like I said, it's from what I could determine from searching on the subject. As stated above, I did purchase it new in January of this year.

Are you selling the Lakland with the black bridge or the original chrome?

Chrome, it's being sold all original with the addition of the matte black pickguard. The black bridge, was sold separately a few months ago.

You never took these beauties out on gigs? How cause? Wanted to keep 'em safe at home?

The 4402 is a terrific, versatile bass - mine always cut through the mix and delivered beautiful tone. Great feel, too.

    Good luck with your sale.
