  1. Early Eighties Zon, handmade in Buffalo, NY. Bolt-on 4 string
with one Bart humbucker in the sweet spot. Body is one-piece Flame Maple with a translucent teal finish. Schaller bridge and tuners, factory installed Detuner, Polyfusion preamp, and a hardshell case. Very few marks on the body, some finish-only cracks on the neck that Mark at Zon said could be repaired. Awesome bass, light and amazing action, and a piece of History to boot. I will take more pics on request. $1200 obo.

  3. Bump again.
Am I asking too much for this thing or is it just too specific
a bass for broad interest. I mean, if you were willing to pay $1200 for a Sonus........

Wow, if it plays as good as it looks, I'm down. What does it sound like? Or do you have any recordings of it.

    P.S. I also have a Lado Studio 4 if you'd be interested?
  5. The bass plays better than it looks, and it looks damn fine....
I would describe the sound as barky and bright with a strong upper midrange. It really cuts through and has wonderful sustain. You can hear harmonics ringing through the back of the bass.
If you want to hear it, go to:

Select the songs "Bad Peace" by Nouveau Riche and "Hard Promise" by Jupiter Green. This bass was used on both of those tracks.
