This bass really sings. Plenty of fretless growl and it plays like butter. If you’ve ever played a Warmoth, you know their necks can be a little chunky. I had the neck on this baby professionally re-shaped by luthier Tom Pellerito. The neck profile now is more like a Modulus. I love this bass, but I just got my Laggan custom and need the cash. I’ve got nearly $1500 in parts (that doesn’t include the cost of re-shaping the neck). Asking $825 or best offer.

    • Flame Koa top on Alder body.
    • Dunlop strap locks.
    • Bartolini dual coil pickups with 18 volt Bartolini NTMB preamp.
    • Solid Bubinga neck with Corian nut and lined Wenge fingerboard.
    • Hipshot tuners.
    • Setup last month and strung with Elixir nanowebs.

I have pictures but they are too poor quality to post. I can email them to you if you really want to see them. I'm working on getting a better camera. The body is lacquered and the neck has a few coats of tung oil on it.

I don't have receipts. I bought the bass used a couple of years ago. It looked like it had just been put together. I don't know if the guy I bought it from lacquered the body or if he got it from Warmoth that way. It originally had a maple neck on it. I bought the bubinga neck, put hipshot tuners on it, had it shaped and oiled it.

Finally got a better camera. Here are a couple of pics. Detroit talkbassers can check out this bass at Low Down Sound.

That's a good question! It's over at Low Down Sound. I'll give Bob a call and see if he can weigh it. I do know that it's a little lighter than my fretted swamp ash Gecko 5, but unfortunately I don't know how much that one weighs either..
