UP for sale is IMO one of the best four stringers ever made..... Yamaha TRB4 MIJ with original eletronics. Jazz style pickups and 3-band pre. The Mid knob is a 3 way selector (like the one on the old TRB JP model) which is very cool. Neck is straight and action is mid-low with no buzz. About four noticeable scratches but only one on front of bass... the other three at back.

Hardware: The hardware was swapped by previous owner with black Gotoh bridge and tuners(original is gold-not included).

Spacing: Not sure of the spacing but it feels like 18MM at bridge.

    Weight: around 9 lbs.

I will give exact weight later today

Price: $400 local only (LOCAL DEAL PREFERRED)

    Pics added!!

I'll try better pics later tonight

    Actually this is a 2nd maybe 3rd Gen TRB4.
The original was neck thru with pj pickups and piezo bridge.
The first Gen ones were.from the early 90's a the 4 strings don't pop up very often.
Not trying to be a jerk, but your ad title is wrong.

I just double checked and you might be correct. Serial # is 7FK547 which puts this @ April 1997. I still think it falls under the 1st gen.... the TRB with piezo you mentioned is a different model which would be a TRB4P..... theses basses are still amazing and are better than the TRBII and TRB1004 IMHO.

Oh no doubt they are very cool basses!
But it mis-leading to say first Gen as its vastly different from the original.

Again, very cool and IMO good price!

    Free bump!!

I agree with this. 1st Gen. has a different set of knobs. I have a 1st Gen. TRB6 with single truss rod and the knobs are totally different from what you have on this bass. This is definitely a 2nd or third generation bolt-on 4 string. GWTS though whatever generation this bass is, it's definitely a good one knowing that it's also MIJ!
