Up for sale is my Sonus Special fretless 6. A georgeous bubbinga top on this one. Perfect fretless action that never varies, no matter how humid or dry the climate. Currently strung up with rounds, but has spent most of its life with Thomastik jazz flats (they sound incredible on this bass, btw).

This bass has the benefit of fretlines, but they are made out of wood, and so the brown on black effect makes them almost completely invisible to anyone but the player. A very nice feature - the best of both worlds. Form and function!

Selling to help fund another bass. Not really interested in trades at this point.

    $1850

The lines "disappear" from a couple feet away. :ninja:

    What is the body wood?

    Paint chips, dents, etc?

    Body wood: Ash

Chips, dents, etc: One very small chip on the bottom of the neck by the nut. (see pics).
Otherwise completely flawless.. no scratches, dents, etc. Bass has been babied! Rarely ever gigged.

I don't typically like bubinga tops but I really dig this one. Has a lot of depth. Despite what some say about top woods having little impact on tone I always thought bubinga made a big difference in articulating low mids.

Best of luck with the sale...I hope to have something similar after the new year (fretless sonus or legacy).

Only problem is that *I* have trouble playing from a few feet away! :)

    Monster bass! :bassist:

I live down the road from Jordan and I play it everytime I visit. Buttery playabilty and huge tone. If I didnt have a Roscoe fretless 6 already, I'd be all over it!

This one is pretty much in the ultimate fretless category :)
