I have two basses: 1. 1984 Yamaha BB1600 Black body/gold hardware Rosewood fingerboard 4 String, 34" Scale Fairly light approx 8.75 lbs Yamaha hard case included 2. Fender Classic 70's Jazz Bass 3 Tone Sunburst body Rosewood fingerboard with Block inlays, PLEK'd in Oklahoma City, USA Hipshot D- Tuner Installed Tortoise Pickguard and Black Pickguards (both included) 4 String, 34" Scale Weight: approx 9 lbs Fender Hardshell case included Will trade BOTH of them to you for the right 5 String Fretted bass, will add up to $600 if your bass is worth more than the two combined. Don't want to limit my options but I'm thinking something with a MM only or J/MM (No EBMM Stingrays - too heavy, No laklands unless they're 34" Scale), P/MM or Nordstand Big Singles, and prefer 34" Scale. Let's see what you got! Will upload pics later today.
Bump TTT with pics, first the Yamaha: and the Fender (not the best quality picture I know): Group pic with my other basses at the time:
I really want the fender something about blocks just hits the gas button if u want to sell the jazz let me know
Don't know the specific year as I bought it used here on TB: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f126/fs-only-fender-70s-ri-jazz-plekd-773898/ That series came out quite recently so it's probably 2009 - 2011. Yea it's the one in the group photo, I only changed the knobs.
Doubtful if I'll sell it on TB separately, since mailing basses from here is expensive (and I have some interest from a few local buyers). If I change my mind I'll let you know.
