    Hey, good morning TB!
    Recently I was lucky enough to acquire one of the finest playing and sounding basses I've ever come across...a Bossa OB2 Semi-hollow.

    After playing and hearing this bass, the only impression I was left with was: W O W !!!

    This particular bass is almost 20 years old, but looks like it left the factory 20 minutes ago. Some specs:

    * 5A Exhibition Quilted Maple Top and Back
    * Light Ash body, with semi-hollow option (which makes it ridiculously lightweight as well)
    * Jazz width nut and thinner than jazz front to back profile
    * Ebony fingerboard, 25 frets
    * Brass nut
    * Gotoh tuners and Wilkinson bridge
    *Top of the line Bossa electronics package and pickups

    The electronics package on this bad boy is pretty ridiculous.
    It can go from MTDesque sounds to Jazz-on-roids (think Nordstrand/Callowhill) to Fbass type tones.

    The feel of the bass is phenomenal. I JUST sold a Hugh McFarland neck'd Lakland to Jedi Bass (who is an awesome guy by the way) and I thought that was my favorite all-time neck. This bass' neck, to my hands, is absolutely the most comfortable I've played. The action is crazy low...I mean, I barely exert any effort and this bass sounds great.

    I emailed Bossa about the cost of this bass if you spec'd it out today: $3600 BEFORE tax and import duties!
    It was also mentioned that these older semi-hollows are very special and were made differently than the current semi-hollow series. The builder loved making them the older way, but it was far too costly and time consuming to keep going that route.

    This is truly a wonderful bass, but it is a bit flashy for my purposes. I am a weekend warrior and like sitting in the pocket. The band goes for a retro look, and this bass really doesn't do that look any favors. It's gorgeous, but I would really like something with a simpler look to it.

    Looking for basses of equal quality, but I don't have any one particular instrument in mind (unless it's a Rob Allen...would love one of those :D ).

    Happy to answer any questions you may have, and eager to hear what you have to trade TB!
