I went on a crazy buying streak last year, and ended up with numerous vintage basses. After some careful thoughts, having a good Jazz at this point would probably be more beneficial. The trade would be based on what you have to offer, and I have no problem letting all these 3 basses go all at once if the right one comes along.

    [DEL]1978 Fender Precision[/DEL] (Sold locally)
    - All original except for the ashtray covers.
    - In amazing condition (9/10) with only a a few dents and one paint chip on the board.
    - Frets are in 75% condition, and no buzzing issue at all.
    - Original hardshell case in mint condition.

[DEL]1979 Rickenbacker 4000[/DEL] (Traded it for a Modulus VJ)
    - All original.
    - Set neck, dot inlays with a single pickup at the bridge position.
    - Near mint condition.
    - Suspect that it had flats all its life, so no fret wears what so ever.
    - Original hardshell case in mint condition.

[DEL]1966 Guild Starfire I[/DEL] (Traded it for an US Lakland 44-94 Custom)
    - All original.
    - 30” scale.
    - Factory equipped Mickey Mouse pickup @ the sweet spot.
    - Paint cracks and flakes here and there, however, considering of its age, it's in amazing condition.
    - Suspect that it had flats all its life, so no fret wears what so ever.
    - Original hardshell case, that's a bit beat up. I added additional foams and latches just to make sure it protects the bass properly.

    Potential Trade List:
    - Sadowsky NYC Vintage Jazz 4 or 5
    - Fender 60's or 70's Jazz
    - Fender Deluxe V 2011
    - Mike Lull UV 4, V4 or V5
    - Modulus VJ4
    - Nordstrand VJ 4 or 5
    - Lakland USA Jazz 4 or 5
    - Alleva-Coppolo LG, LM, RA 4 or 5
    - Dingwall Super J 5
    - F Bass VF-5
    - ????

Let me know if you have any questions, I would be glad to help.

  4. Starfire envy bump. My band account precludes me from asking if there's an outright sell price attached to any of these. Best of luck finding the one you want!

I would totally be into that Ric 4000. Wish I had something you wanted.

Answered a few more PMs, many fantastic trade offers, but nothing has yet to grabbed my absolute attention. Someone's got to have an extra Sadowsky NYC or Alleva-Coppolo lying around that they are not utilitizing. :D By the way, I may be interested in an Alembic, Wal or Carl Thompson as well. I know they are not Jazz, but I have always had an infatuation with them.

Update: Both Precision and 4000 are gone........!?!
Will now also accept cash for the Guild Starfire, $1850 plus half of shipping cost.

**I've uploaded more photos of the bass.
