Nice bass. Plays very well. Has 1 ding. 2 band (Bass & Treble) active EQ. Currently strung with Black Beauties. Sounds good like that.

$499 shipped in the US (AK, HI other destinations at actual less $25)

    Trade bait would be ...

    MIJ P or J
    Highway 1 P or J
    MIM 50's Classic P

I know you said you may be fed up with MIM Fenders, but what about an upgraded one?

    -(2001?) Fender J-bass black/maple
-MIA (american series) bridge and string-thru body
    -70's style P-bass neck
    -GREAT shape and excellent player
    -comes with gig bag

    Pics-

    2-12.
    3-11.
    5-7.
    6-7.
    4-10.
    1-12.

I can probably throw in some $$ to boot if you want. Let me know if you're interested. Sounds wonderful through my Ampeg and Orange rig.

Franken basses aren't really easy to value - I've built a few and generally I would have been better off parting them out.

PM sent for the construction details anyway.

I could see a MIM. Just not a MIM Standard... A 50's Classic P ? Maybe a Standard with an exceptional neck AND a Dark Star.

    2 band active. Here's some new pic's.

Headstock - wow - no dings...
The ding - middle shot. My understanding is that this occurred in shipping with a preivous owner.
And a full frontal showing off my tile!
