Here is a one off custom handmade Elrick NJS 5 in excellent condition. The specs are:

Wenge neck and Macassar Ebony Fretboard

Black Limba body with a Figured Walnut top

Bartolini pickup with Aguilar OBP-3 preamp (In the sweetspot)

Controls are Vol, Treble, Mid, Bass

Active/Passive Switch & 2 way Mid Select Switch

    Black Hardware

    Protec Semi Hard Case

    Super lightweight!!!

The bass is one of the nicest playing and best sounding basses I've owned. I don't believe that this bass with these options is even offered at the Elrick site. But that evil GAS is creeping in so I thought I see what's available from the fine folks at TB.

I'd only be interested in the following:

    Sadowsky Metro 5

    Roscoe 5

    Mike Lull P or J 5

    USA Lakland 5

    Warwick Streamer Stage II 5

Or another Elrick 5 SC or figured top model

Let me know what you got!

That board looks like Macassar ebony. . . are you sure it's wenge? Also, how is the OBP-3 set up with the 4 knob layout -- vol, bass, mid, treble? Is that an active/passive switch and mid selector? Any push/pull passive tone knob?

Thanks Gruv for reminding me of some things I missed. I've lhad lots of offers to buy outright or to hook me up with a deal for the bass plus added cash from me. I don't want to sell it and will only consider a straight trade for one of basses mentioned.

Mark I agree this bass is HAWT! I may just hang on to it if the right bass doesn't show up soon. I'll regret letting this one go but I've got that old "GAS Monkey" on my back once again! :crying:

  16. You're not willing to sell it. I've loved this bass for months - wish I could have bought it when Mark was selling it. Just stunning.
  17. I remember when this one came up for sale the last 2 times. Beautiful bass

Can't sell outright at this is my main gigging bass and the only 5 string I have at present. Although that said I guess it wouldn't hurt to have cash offers e-mailed to me at:

Who knows... if someone mentions the "magic" number and has the cash to do a quick turn around I could be tempted ;)
  19. And then you can buy my Lull P5... :D
