I figure this'll get more views here than in the Wanted section, so.... I've been having second thoughts about my Elrick, while going through a phase of Warwick Streamer GAS (No thanks to this picture http://tuning.free.fr/bass/streamer/ss15_02.jpg ) So it's only a 'testing the waters' kind of thing right now, but I'd like to see if anyone with a Warwick Streamer would be interested in a trade (or partial trade) for my Elrick Singlecut - previously owned by C-5KO and Jokerjkny Ash body Figured walnut top Maple neck - Macassar Ebony FB Macassar Ebony Playing Ramp Neck Through Bart pickups + NTMB pre (3-way mid, Active/Passive) Preferably, the Streamer would be a Stage I or II, or one of the older handmade ones. 5 or 6-string only And again - this is just testing the waters. Gotta keep my impulsive habits in check ya know
No streamer here, but I do have a 1990 warwick thumb with barts which I love. I wish you good luck in your trade, sounds like a win win situation.
Why are you tempting me with that Elrick since I just got my Streamer Stage II the other day. I'll have to ponder this over Feel free to up the ante and I could be pushed over the edge
Being a previous owner here's a few answers: The dots are part of the walnut figure. They've been filled in with finish. Here's a link to his REVIEW Hope this helps Lokire! Oh, I think he's also got some soundclips floating around...
Yep - thanks Kori There's some more pictures here: http://photobucket.com/albums/v106/JasonFan/Elrick Singlecut/ Grooveguru - I was wondering if you were gonna take a peek in here . Your Streamer looks mighty nice, but I know you just got it....it's up to you. The only thing I could think to throw in is a Leather gigbag (from RokSak) that I have I'm having second thoughts for a couple reasons. Firstly, the singlecut body shape isn't ideal for me. I do like it, and it's very comfy and ergonomic but I play more Rock style music and it doesn't really fit the style (imo). Looks a little too classy and when worn down a bit lower on a strap it just doesn't seem quite right. Maybe it's a little too boutique for me . And I guess the most important is that I'm just not playing it as much. Now that the "new-bass" factor has worn down, I'm playing my Ken Lawrence more and more - it better suits the kind of music that I play. A more aggressive bass sound. The Elrick has a buttery smooth and punchy tone though that's super sweet. And then there's the GAS factor . For once, I'm gonna go for something that I already know instead of taking a chance with a bass I've never played before. I played a Streamer about a month ago and it just sounded incredible. Plus some of my favorite bass tones are from Streamers, like Incubus and Jamiroquai. And to keep everyone updated - I'm now only after a Streamer Stage II 5-string. There's a guy from Bassgear.com selling one (for cash) as well as a few people here who have offered cash for the Elrick, so I'm waiting on some e-mails back to see how that all pans out. It would be kinda nice to do just a straight trade though... (*glances towards grooveguru*)
eeek. Don't tempt me like that Even so, I don't really have any money to throw into a trade like that.
Holy crap! This bass is coming close to the Cherryburst, for Elrick most owned by TB members. Let me make waiting for it worse: That bass was probably one of the best El's I've played. Great punchy tone, very easy to play. Recorded great too! My new bass is based on that basses configuration in a 6 string model.
