FT FEELER: Squier Classic Vibe 50's Precision

Discussion in 'For Sale: Bass Guitars' started by altamont, Aug 1, 2013.

  1. Hey guys,
here's a really nice Squier Classic Vibe 50's Precision in beautiful butterscotch blonde that I bought brand new less than 2 years ago. I bought it for a second musical project that required BF#BE tuning and that no longer exists.

It's currently strung with DR DDT strings for that low B. Original nut without any mods done to it. Neck is straight with a little relief to accomodate that tuning, lots of truss rod movement left.

Pickup has been replaced with the Seymour Duncan SCPB-3 and it sounds way better IMO than the original. Lots of output, great hard single coil tone pn this one. Original pup is included.
Generic hardshell case that smells like butterscotch (it really does! But without spoiling it).

Neck is maple and body is pine (nice grain). No dings to the body, just 2 or 3 minor headstock dings on the tip, mainly on the heavy finish.

If you know this series, I shouldn't have to convince you about their great reputation. Plus, this is one of the good ones.

Alright, so I'm looking for a trade here.
I'm looking mainly for a Jazz Bass, MIJ prefered. Could be one of those vintage Squiers to. MIM is also fine by me.

I'd also be interested in a Peavey T40, Gibson Grabber or Epiphone Grabber/Ripper RI. Always on the lookout for those.

Keep in mind that I can add cash or musical equipment for the right deal.
Also, please consider that I'm located in Montreal, but I'll also be in the Boston area in 2 weeks, so if anyone interested in this area, we could work something out.

I'll post some pics tomorrow when I won't be on my phone.

    Send me your offers!

  2. "No CV love?" bumpage.
  3. Trade interests are Jazz bass and Peavey T-40 or make me an offer bump.

Dang, wish I had some trade bait for a fellow Canadian bump.
  5. someone trade me a jazz-bump
  6. If only my sx jazz was a fender jazz :p

Always loved these p basses. Played one a year ago and it was awesome!
  7. Any ideas on what kind of taxes/duty/shipping we'd have to pay to ship these from US to Canada and vice-versa? I may be able to talk myself into parting with my '89 Korean Squier Jazz with Dimarzio DP123 pickups.

  8. Nevermind. I found one locally. If you wanna buy the Jazz, it's $250.

  9. Hey Chris sorry about the no reply. I never saw your post until now. Glad you found one locally. I like that jazz you got there. Is this 250 shipped?

Any interest in a 1994 ibanez soundgear SR800 in trans green?

Probably not, but I figure I'd try. :)

(Can't figure out how to post image from TB app.)
  11. I'd probably have to do $250 + shipping for the Jazz, plus I'm worried that shipping across the border will involve tariffs or duty or something. I don't have a case, either, so that may complicate shipping.

I have 2 awesome olp musicman basses. They sound and play great. Frets have been dressed, jacks replaced with switchcraft, and set up by the best shop in the country- Eric's guitars.

I would put these up against any USA Ernie Ball Musicman Stringray.

Why would I possibly want to part with these?
My Shoulder is killing me. I did (3) 5 hour weddings this past weekend and I am miserable.

They weigh in at 9 lbs 7 oz

What is the EXACT WEIGHT of the CV p bass?

I played one when they first came out and it was just under 7.5 lbs.

  13. Hey Matt thanks for the offer with the OLP, but I have to pass. I'm really towards a jazz at this time.

As for the weight, I'd say about 8-ish. I'll try to weigh it tomorrow.
  14. SOLD locally.
