I have just not been able to get my perfect sound out of my warwick that I have been hoping for... so after a year of playing around, I am going to see if there is anything else out there.

I have a year old Warwick Corvette standard 5 string that has lots of extras. Starting off with hipshot ultralight tuners, bone nut, new EMG active electronics (PUPs and BTC Pre) setup for 18v, Alembic knobs on the two volume controls, all cavities are copper foil lined, its very very quiet! B string slot on bridge was filed out nicely to accomodate non-taper B string, new set of DR low-riders on there. This bass has never been gigged, I just take lessons and play it in my room. amazing condition, as new. the bubinga is nice and dark too, its very pretty. Everyone who has played the bass, loves it but I just cant find what I am looking for with it.

I also have a 98 mexi-fender 4 string jazz in wine color (deep red) that has quite a few mods too! I put new duncan quarter pounder PUPs in there, new fender bridge, new pots, new knobs, new 1/4" jack, new PG, new fender/schaller tuners (cost me $100 alone), new bushings, new schaller strap locks and new DR low rider stings as well. This bass is in great condition too with no major scratches or marks.

I am willing to trade both these bases for one bass that really catches my eye. I would like to get back into a 4 string but am going to be open minded as to what is out there. I would prefer a USA made bass too.

Is the Warwick still available? If so, do you have interest in a Stingray 5? It is a players bass but is in excellent working condition and is 7/10 cosmetically.

sorry, not too much interest in a stingray... not a MM fan.

I used to live in Durham, but it was Durham Ontario. Lets get somebody from Durham England to say hi. I am a nut, I know.
