Old thread was getting cluttered so I closed it and am reopening here.
    text from old thread:
Thought I was going to go in this direction but I can't seem to get the tone out of it that I was hoping so here it is....
Pretty clean overall, has some chips out of it but everything works and is nice. Of course, it has been played the last almost 30 yrs but is still clean for its age....These don't come up much...Had to borrow the pics from the PO but I will get some new ones up shortly....

It is fun....I am looking for a Rick or a Spector or something because I have steered away from the standard P tone...

    No Fender from Fullerton love??

  8. I owned exactly the same and I must say it's outstanding, rare beast. My band mates still keep telling me that was their favourite bass from all I've ever had for its distinguished sound. The only reason I sold it was my intention to switch to 5ers otherwise I'd keep it. BTW I switched back to 4stringers after a while :) So, buy it and you won't regret!!!

My band mates tell me the same thing about my elite. And I can cut through the mix much easier.

I'm the guy he got it from...I'm not big on fenders, myself, but it was the best playing fender I'd ever felt...and the tone was amazing...
