SOLD - OK, I messed up !!!!! Not to long ago someone asked me what price I would have to have to give up my Roscoe MWAH Monster fretless, and I made the mistake of doing it. Hate it when that happens !!!

Anyway, I’d like to trade this LG-2005 (plus cash as required) for a lined Roscoe fretless, or sell it outright and purchase a fretless. I’d prefer a five string but my MWAH Monster was a 3006 so the right six is definitely not out of the question.

This LG-2005 is in overall excellent condition. It is honestly one of the best playing instruments I’ve had the pleasure of holding (references can be had). It’s not a new one, but it’s a good one. The original neck developed a truss rod issue so a complete new neck was built and installed at the Roscoe Promised Land in North Carolina about two years ago. A new Bart 3-band preamp was professionally installed about one year ago. The action is set-up low and there is no buzz whatsoever.

    Here are the specs:

LG-2005 (like the 3005 except the top is not carved)
Exhibition Quilted Maple Top (the quilting on the top is exceptional)
    Ash Body
    35” Scale
3 piece maple neck (~2 years old)
Spalted Cocobolo fretted fingerboard (24 frets)
    Bassline soap bar p/u’s
Bart 3 band preamp (~1 year old)
    Black hardware
    New hipshot type A bridge
    GOTOH tuners
    18.3 mm spacing
    ~9.4 lbs
    Roscoe OHSC (~1 year old)

There are some play marks in the finish, but they are only in the finish.

I’d put the trade value at $1,650, and straight sale price at $1,400.

What a great price on a unique Roscoe. I've played this one and it's like buttah!
Pictures do not do that fingerboard justice.
And BTW.... Johnny is a gentleman of the highest order.

Thanks for all the kind words.

This was my first Roscoe. This is the one that turned me into a Roscoehead. I'd played an Aria for 15 years, but after playing this one for 2 minutes (after a JOME77 set-up job), I was sold.

It's a great price (IMHO) but my Roscohead friends have helped me many times and given me some really great deals. I'm just trying to keep it going.

I got to try out a Roscoe for the first time a couple of weeks ago and now I got the itch for one. If I wasn't searching for a fretless, I would be all over this.

I've had a couple of really interesting trade offers (sorry guys, I really don't need another fretted)

One straight sale that fell thru at the last minute, and someone else "sniffing at the trail" now.

If you're interested, now might be a good time to jump on it (IMHO)

You don't run across a great playing Roscoe at this price often !!! :hyper:

I received a request for three more pic's. Unfortunately I'm working with my IPAD right now and don't seem to be able to get more than one pic attached to any one post.
