Hi everyone. I have a 1966 Guild Starfire bass I. It is one of the very rare early models with one pickup in the middle/bridge position. There were only about 300-400 of these made before they changed to the neck-pickup position.
This one has been my pride and joy for some time now, but I'm looking for something different to further expand my bass experience/exploration. I wish I could just keep the Starfire and buy another bass, but I can't afford it (being a poor college student).
$2000 shipped conus. No longer looking for trades. Let me know if you're interested or have any other questions.
Here are some pictures and a video/sound recording of the bass.

If you're selling for cash, you should post a price. Otherwise, you should list it as trade only.

Nope. Got it locally (Western New York) from a private collector.

I guess the hunt is still on for the one I found at 30th. :(

If you could peg an approximate cash value on this, what would it be?

"Lastly, I am fully aware of this bass's value..."

then post a price, it's required on TB for all FS posts, if you didn't read the small print.

    Thanks Larry!

Christopher, as for price, I have made it a FT ad for the time being.

  11. wow, a sweet spot starfire, you don't see those every day!

dude... i'd keep that thing if i were you. . . especially since you appear to be a casady disciple (and an impressive one at that)

    thanks RC,
however, i think that may be exactly my problem. I realized I try too hard to sound like casady... he's my favorite and always will be, but I need to find my own sound. i would also keep the SF if I could afford to just buy another top of the line bass, but with college i'm in a difficult position. i'll probably end up buying another one in a couple years when I have the money.
