So I bought this bass from a dude who had it made by a luthier. The body is solid ash and was painted white. I wanted to strip it down to natural, but there was this really cool blue underneath. It turned out really nicely reliced. You could always strip it down to natural if you wanted, but this is a dead ringer for a '62 sonic blue jazz. I got a new neck custom finished from a Fender allparts neck. Slightly less than 1.5" at the nut with a nice satin finish. I put in vintage Dimarzio's and they sound awesome. If you wanna do business let me know and I can send more pics. I already have two nice jazz type basses. I would love a fast playing Peavey or Ibanez with different style PUP's. Just a shot in the dark, but you never know. I paid 250$ for the neck and 100$ for the PUP's. I figure its worth, in a trade, 500$. I realise nobody is gonna pay 500 bucks for a parts bass, but its worth a shot.
I forgot to mention, I shielded all the cavities with dual sided conductive copper tape. I linked them all together with small wires and this bass is dead quiet.
