    SOLD!!!
    Oh, this is killing me.
I need a 6-string bass. I have a great 6-string bass and it covers all my extended range needs. So this bass, as much as I love it, has become redundant.

    I should have a 4. I don't have a 4.

I would like to trade this for another Lakland. Skyline or USA.

    Choices in order:
    1. Bob Glaub 4. 3-tone burst w/rosewood. (+ or - $ if Skyline or USA).
    2. Joe Osborn 4. 3-tone burst w/rosewood. (+ or - $ if Skyline or USA).

Prefer a trade but asking $950 shipped w/case if outright sale(Con.US.).

    No 44-02's or 44-01's
Will consider other P type 4's in the configurations listed.
This will come in a no-name hard case so I would expect similar or better quality gig bag or you can ship bass to me in your case and I can ship 5502 back in same.

What does the "First Amber" mean?
    It's all explained here: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=345237
Skip to page 2 if you want to get right to it.
Also, the bridge holes lined up so the original Lakland bridge will be back on it with no additional holes.
    Full disclosure:
There is a small hole to either side of the neck pickup where I had the pickup cover mounted. Put the screws in after taking cover off. They just look like pickup adjustment screws. I'll include the pickup cover if you want to re-mount.
There appears to be a couple very small wood filled holes in the headstock where the first owner tried a different string retainer. They are almost invisible unless you are right up close (like a couple inches close).

This is really hard because this bass is sooo dialed-in. Really low action. But I have to be realistic and can't keep when I need a basic 4 to compliment the 6.

Sooo, until Lakland rolls out the 66-02.......

Well, before you put it on ebay, why don't you post an asking price here?

Normally I would, but in the other thread some thought that due to it being an anomaly it might be worth more than the average 55-02D. I might want to test that theory. :D
    I'm still thinking it over.

OK. Would still prefer a trade, but lets go with $950 w/ hard case shipped in the Con.US.

    It's a 55-02. By definition that's a Skyline. ;)

For all of you that have shown interest (trades, cash offers, etc.) I should know by Sat. which direction I'm going to go (unless someone offers me the perfect Glaub before then :D ).
    Thanks.

PB - BP here....man! that would make a nice fretless for me...too bad you did not want another 5 banger (my DJ5 is up dfor trades) or a fretless 4 banger....but you said NO 44-02s (why?)

bumpage for a SWEET looking bass!!!

PS - maybe I can talk you into a LOG bass in trade? (LOL!!!)

I really want a Glaub. I don't care for the 44-01/55-01s and another 02 would be too much like my current 6 in pickup and tone configuration, which is why this one is going. There was a time when I would have been all over that DJ of yours.

Just hold out. There are fretless (lined) 01 and 02 5's popping up here and eBay quite often.

I know about the fretless -02s....REALLY after a -94 so more may have to go!!!
