I traded for this recently as I always wanted to try a Stambaugh and I'm glad I did, very nice work indeed, but the reality is that it's never going to get any gig time with my blues/rock band so I'm looking to trade for a more traditional looking bass. Here's the specs.. set neck 34" scale 1 3/4" nut 17.5 mm string spacing ash body macassar ebony top birdseye maple board with wenge binding and ebony blocks Nordstrand NJ single coils in 60's jazz position Nordstrand 2 band pre with active/passive switch Hipshot chrome hardware oil finish Dunlop straplocks Comes with TKL case The previous owner mentioned a couple of marks on the bass but I would never had noticed them if he hadn't mentioned it. The truss-rod cover was missing when I got it though I'm sure Stambaugh would supply another, I wondered if the neck wasn't particularly stable because of this but I haven't had to touch the truss-rod since I got it. It also seems that the output when both pickups are blended is not as much as when each pickup is soloed though it's not enough to bother me. I normally play 19mm string spacing but found the 17.5 quick to adapt to and it made some stuff easier to play. Neck on this is super comfortable and it's a very light 8.2lbs. I'm looking for a Fender style 5 below 9.5lbs. And am willing to add or receive cash for the right bass! EDIT: I'll also offer this up for sale at $1700 shipped in the conus.
