anyone using a Fulltone 2B? if so, how are you using it (where in the pedal chain and are you using the dynamics/compressor feature), and how does it sound? does it work well with both passive and active basses? does it cut any low end? FWIW, my lowest string is tuned down to D.
Using my necromancer skills for this zombie. Anyone use it or have opinions on this as a clean boost for bass?
I had one for a bit. Didn't notice any low end loss. I felt that the Limiter interacted with the boost, so the higher the boost, the more limiting. What i found was that when i had it at the end of my chain, it was clamping down on my fuzz pedals too much but at the start of the chain i didnt really need limiting. Not a bad pedal at all and its a decent buffer too it just wasnt what i need. I've been tempted to try it again though.
Mine arrived yesterday. First impression - makes a really good clean boost for bass. It only needs to be set at about 8:00 for my needs (boost for solos - fusion band, I get them). Kept the limiter at full off. The small footprint is delightful. I'll try it at rehearsal tonight.
