funk fingers question

    Hello. How exactly are funk fingers attached to one's fingers? Is it some sort of elastic-like band?

    Those things around the fingers are velcro. I accidently ordered two sets when I bought mine. If you want a set, PM me.

    They are small drumsticks that you strap to your fingers and strike the strings lightly with.( Forgive the grammar.:meh:

    If you have a bass with sufficiently wide string spacing they can sound VERY cool. That is why Tony Levin has that three string StingRay. He marketed these on his personal site for a while and may still do so. I'm pretty sure they are his invention.Well, pretty sure.

    Well, on second thought, mabye you should get them from Bard2dbone Thrash_jazz. I've already got a pair of drum sticks and I could easily access some velcro so I could easily construct my own pair. Bard2dbone, give/sell you extra pair to thrash_jazz.

    In that Tony Levin/Bill Bruford duet on Tony's website (in the section site stuff under media), it sounds like he's using funk fingers on that performance. That should give you an idea what they sound like.

    YAY! I made my own pair of funk fingers and they fit great! All I needed was a broken drum stick, some velcro, and some scisors!
