Technically... I would indeed classify 480x640 96dpi pictures as low-res. However, they seem to get the job done. Buyer probably just wanted an out, and that was the extent of his creativity.

 

By these forums' standards I'm even worse... a marketer! Ad agencies put little faith in degrees though, so thankfully my education was relatively brief as far as the professional world goes.

 

Funniest I got was “the action looks high”

First of all it was funny because it was on a 6 string bass that I actually had set up with lower action than I normally prefer. Dudes stage name is probably buzz lightyear.

Secondly it was funny because the neck was straight and clearly showed in pictures. So the action was easily adjustable for anyone who knows anything about bass guitars.

Those look high res enough to show the condition of the bass. People like to see some overall shots, then closeups. There’s a thread on using a camera to photograph basses, which apparently I haven’t read thoroughly, because I SUCK at bass photography. It’s marketing though, if you want to sell something, worth getting the best out of a cellphone. Even the point and shoot camera most people have gathering dust in a drawer someplace will probably do a better job than a phone.

 

I wouldn’t buy it based on I don’t care for your ceiling fan.

Probably dodged a bullet. If those pics aren't good enough, odds are he would have found something "wrong" with the bass if he bought it.
