Funny B String Slaps

Discussion in 'Technique [BG]' started by LimpyBizkit397, Mar 11, 2002.

  1. When you slap on the B-string is it always supposed to have that clkicky sound like on "My Name is Mud"??? Also is there any way to get rid of it???

Les is using distortion on that song ,I think. If you mess with your EQ it should eliminate some of the clicking. Also, try turning down some of the highs.

  3. Part of the issue is the tension. On a standard 34" non through body instrument, the B is always going to feel a little flappier than the other 4 strings. Try raising the saddle on the B or using a heavier string or lighter attack (not easy when slapping I grant you)
