Ok, so Im going to trade my BB750 for a GK 2001rb. I will then be running my 2001rb into my Mesa PH1200 cab with 4x10 and 1x15. I will also be adding a Mesa PH 2x12 to the rig (placing the order this weekend). The 1200 is rated at 1200 watts and the 2x12 at 600 watts, so i should be OK running them together with the 1080 watt GK head right?

    So Im looking at:

    08 jazz/99 P/03 Stingray>GK 2001rb>MESA PH 1200> MESA PH 2x12

what do you think? Will I be able to cut through live :bag:

It could be a very bad idea. What the hell could make you need more volume than a 1080w fullstack?

I believe you will find that there's a serious wattage mismatch, where the 2x12 gets more watts per driver than the PH1200 does.

I'd recommend trying out just the ph1200 by itself.

+1 The GK head and Powerhouse 1200 is more than enough rig for any situation short of stadiums. And even then. Whoa on the GAS.

If you are not loud enough with a 410 and 15 massive cab - something is seriously wrong with your tone! Stick to that Mesa cab, keeps your mids in the signal and you should get plenty of low end & volume out of that setup. Bridge the Gk head straight into the Mesa cab and life shall be loud!

GK heads - even for 480 watts, is pretty darn loud! 1080w through a bigger cab, yikes! Have fun and make sure to wear ear protection!

So I may not use the 2x12 i the rig but i think Im still going to order it as a side/backup rig for smaller venues. more reasonable you think?
