Last night I had a great idea. What if there were a Lakland Skyline 44-01, like the 55-01, but 4 string. I would jump all over that. Do you guys think this is a possibility? I'm about to email Mr. Lakin and suggest this. So anyone who thinks they would buy a Lakland Skyline 44-01 if it existed, please do the same and send the idea to Mr. Lakin. Thanks.

man- Dan is spread out so thin as it is!! i actually think he has too many models right now- but then again, theres always that one thing that a customer is looking for.. in your case, a 44-01. No plans for one that i heard of-

I just noticed in Bassplayer mag that there's a Skyline Joe Osborne 5 string Jazz. GAS is building.

I think his GAS is inoperable. It may pass in time.

Nino, we'll be looking forward to a detailed review.

Gard, What's the MSRP, and the best discounted price possible? say for a quilted maple top and maple fretboard? If that's not available, then the price for the plain vanilla model JO Skyline jazz?

I got a reply from Dan Lakin today. Good news for everyone who would be interested in a Skyline 44-01, it is currently in the works and will be available in February 2003, just in time for my birthday. I'm going to start saving now. This is near the top of the extensive 'basses I will buy when I have the money'.
