So I'm considering a trade for a G. Gould 4 string passive Jazz bass. I'm having a heckuva time trying to find any info about them on the web other than ggould.com's actual website. There've been one or two threads on here in the past few years about them, but no real info contained in them. :help:

    Anyone have one of these?
    Thanks!

I've played a few and they all sounded nice and the craftsmanship was top notch.I played Andy West's Sig Bass and it was hot, powerful, smooth and even all at the same time.

I've had two Gould's and they were both top-notch basses in build quality, feel and how they played. I had a jazz four string, so that could be one that passed through my hands at one point. If so, it's very nice. A very close match to a Modulus Genesis Vintage Jazz.

I also had a 5 string Gould with EMG soapbars. I put a Sadowsky preamp in and it totally smoked.
