HI......i'm interested on this bass and on its variety of sound
but i have a question .....what about the neck?
i would like to know some users' impressions....is it like stingrays neck or more jazz like?

Other TBers please correct me if I'm wrong but I think the general consensus is the L-2500's neck is the same width as the SR5 but it's a bit thicker in profile/depth.

I don't have experience with G&L's 4's but I have a SR5 and just got rid of a G&L L-1505 and it's WAY thicker than the StingRay. It feels like a Fender. Also it sounds more "Fenderish" and the electronics are much noisier (even though I shielded all cavities I was never able to use it in a studio). I'd try the dual hambucker Musicman Bongo. Better electronics, better construction better sound and most of all, MUCH better action and playability.

My experience with my 2500 is that the neck is slightly norrower side to side than the SR-5. It is about even depth wise. Maybe it was the neck profile (c-shape, d-shape, whatever), but it feels thinner to my hand than an SR5. Great bass, you'll love it.
