G&L ASAT Hollowbody bass

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by tragicmagic, Dec 28, 2002.

  1. Anybody own a G&L ASAT hollowbody bass?

I'd like to know what you think about the overall sound. Does it balance well? How's the feedback behavior in high volume?

These basses look very interesting to me as well, though I have yet to play one. I would also be interested in any opinions on this bass.

I have zero experience with the semihollow ASAT, but I do own an '85 ASAT, and it's a keeper. Another interesting tidbit: The Semihollow ASAT comes with or without the F-hole cut.

  4. when I was hunting for a bass...I fell in love with the G&L's.....I tried everyone......if they made the semi-hollow ASAT for 5 stringers...I'd have gotten that one....

It was really cool, it was obviously a tab lighter, and I thought it had a sound that was a bit punchier and richer.......if you get a chance.....fall in love with it...lol

I honestly don't think you can go wrong with a G&L
