Hey Y'all, This is a very nice US JB2. I find myself playing my L1Ks all the time and I could let this go and simplify a little bit. Or it could stick around, it's fun to play and looks good. What it is: - US made JB2 - clear blue over ash - 1.5" nut width satin quartersawn neck - back of the headstock serial number plate era (recent) - 8.9lbs - very good condition - installed pickups are DiMarzio Model Js bought brand new by me - also included are the pickups it came with: non-original, prev owner guessed Fralins, but who knows - it's had a nice shielding job done on it - tolex case included (no papers) I will sell for $850 shipped lower 48 or trade for: G&L L2K fretted or L1K/L2K fretless - 1.5" nut width satin neck - excellent condition - <9lbs - prefer recent era construction but will consider any - want factory K switching on an L2K Quilter BB800 Genzler Magellan 800 Accugroove Wedgie
I dropped some DiMarzio Model Js in it and am digging the adjustable pole pieces and higher output (MFDs have ruined me for other pickups). But am still looking for my ideal bass lineup So still willing to sell or work a trade for an L2K, L1K or Kiloton (Trib or US) that meet my specs (1.5" nut width, <9lbs) as additional trade options.
Yes, the JB2 is a discontinued G&L model with traditional jazz bass electronics -- volume/volume/tone controls.
Sold my SB2 so no longer any need or hurry on this one. Won't be a problem if it just sticks around strung up DGCF. Would still be willing to sell/trade as described in OP
