I have a mid to late 80's g&l L-2000.it has 3 switches, the bottom switch closest to the jack has a white tip.now i'm still trying to figure out all the configurations but this last swich has 3 positions, if i have it on the last position it sounds fine.however if i bring it up to the middle it's barely audible and nasal sounding, similiarly in the top poition,.it almost sounds as though it isn't wired properly.can anyone shed some insight on what ther problem might be.
  2. Try changing your battery. The last switch- towards the bridge, is your active/passive switch. To the rear is passive, middle is active, forward is active plus treble boost. If you're having problems with the front two positions, your battery is probably dead or mortally wounded. ;)
