So I got this G&L recently and I love it, the only thing that's weird about it is that it doesn't say made in u.s./america or tribute anywhere on it. On the headstock, all it says is G&L.

G&L L-2000 (Not sure if its MIA or Tribute)

right, it might be a bit small, but it should be there if it's a tribute- only thing else I can think of- check on the back of the headstock, they usually say where it was made.
My US L-2500 just says G&L on the headstock. I think that's normal for color-matched headstocks. Or, at least, mine is and other color-matched ones that I've seen were the same.
If yours has a color-matched headstock, I think that means it is US for sure. Tributes aren't made with a color-matched headstock.

IIRC the Japanes Tributes had it very small on the headstock while all of the others it is very prominent.

Oh, yeah! Good point! The Tributes I've looked at said Tribute on the bridge. But, both my US G&L's say "G&L" on the bridge, in the same place that it says Tribute on the others.

Fixed it.
AFAIK, they have never made Tributes with matching headstocks.
Edit: but you figured that out already.
Nice! And if you got it for a price that meant it could have been a Tribute, then you did great!
