I dont see why it would be any different from other L-2000's soundwise.
I have played lots of L-2000s and I can pretty much say I love them all. Have you played any L-2000s before?

    Lol, now go search..:D

Actually the Tribute is the ONLY carved top they have. I find it very odd that they don't have a USA carved top. I think they look great.

I think its the only one with the vintage tint gloss too. I know they do the gun oil tint but I like the VTG better. That 1 3/4" nut width is kinda scary though.

Dang, the 4 string and the 5 string both have the same nut width!

Its pretty wacky. I guess if you want options then you have to buy USA. But if that bass had a 1.5" nut width I would buy it.

The burst model is incredible looking. Wow!

  9. Played a couple of those! The vintage tint looks AWESOME! Great finish all around. Solid tone and construction. Try contacting Alpha Audio in CT. They have that exact bass in stock and are very fair to deal with. www.alphaaudioworks.com

    Isn't 1-3/4" a fairly normal p bass nut width?

  12. Yes, but some of us prefer a J neck.

    Jazz Neck = 1.5"
    Modern P-Bass = 1 5/8 or 1.625"
    Classic P-Bass = 1.75"

I have the Tribute carved top with the flame maple. It looks really great, but sounds and plays eve better. Ed Friedland has a good review on YouTube that covers the straight Tribute and the construction and electronics are the same. His review convinced me to make strip from Portland to Seattle to check one out. I drove home with it.
