Anyone know anything about this bass? Sales guy said he had one new but I cannot find it on the G&L site.

  2. Could it be one of the new Tribute Series model?

The LB-100 is discontinued - it's a Precision-style bass using an alnico split-coil pickup (G&L also had an SB-1 model that used an MFD split-coil pickup). The alnico pickup is supposed to sound more like a "vintage" Precision than the MFD does.

So it's basically the closest thing to a P-bass that G&L has made. It was originally released as the Legacy bass but another company (Zon) was using that name and G&L had to change it (to LB-100).

No it is not a tribute, it is a lefty and they said it was new. Maybe it just didn't sell. Anyway, thanks for the info.
